Arm Lift Orlando, FL

An Arm Lift, also known as brachioplasty, can significantly improve the appearance of arms that are sagging or appear loose and full due to excess skin and fat.

The procedure reduces excess sagging skin, tightens and smooths the underlying supportive tissue that defines the shape of the upper arm and reduces localized pockets of fat in the upper arm region.

Before and After Photos

Fluctuations in weight, aging, and heredity can cause your upper arms to have a drooping, sagging appearance. This is a condition that cannot be corrected through exercise.

The procedure is often performed in conjunction with liposuction to get rid of excess fat.

FAQ

What determines if you need an Arm Lift versus Liposuction alone?

An arm lift, also known as a brachioplasty, can significantly improve the appearance of arms by removing excess skin that is sagging or appears loose. Liposuction by itself, though frequently done in conjunction with an arm lift, does not correct the issue of excess skin which often is the result of significant weight loss, natural aging, and heredity.

What kind of scars can I expect from an Arm Lift?

For an arm lift, the most common incision will extend from the armpit to the elbow, however, the location and length of the incision will vary depending on the amount of skin that will be removed, as well as the location of the excess skin flap. Additionally, a curved or z-shaped incision may be made during the procedure to minimize the appearance of scarring after healing.

What is the expected recovery time for an Arm Lift?

Recovery time is highly dependent on the patient and how their body responds to arm lift surgery. Before leaving the center, you will be given specific instructions on how to care for your arms, medications to use, and when to follow up with Dr. Azad. To reduce swelling, arms need to be elevated when sitting and sleeping. For the first few days, you will need to take sponge baths but showering may resume as soon as the drains come out. Patients are normally able to return to work and light activities after two weeks. After the procedure, light walking is encouraged to help stimulate healing and reduce your risk for blood clots. Exercise and normal activity can resume typically eight weeks after your arm lift surgery.
