About Motiva Implants

Motiva implants can improve the shape of the breasts and increase their volume for balanced proportions and a curvier appearance. Aging, weight loss, and pregnancy can all impact the appearance of the breasts. Motiva SmoothSilk® Round

Motiva SmoothSilk® Round implants are filled with a firm gel (ProgressiveGel Plus) that fills out the upper pole of the breasts. The firmer implant is ideal for patients who are looking for a rounder breast shape and more breast projection with natural-looking cleavage.

Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix2®

Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix2® implants take on a teardrop shape when standing and a round shape when lying down. They contain a flexible ProgressiveGel Ultima silicone gel that is more dynamic than other gels. It mimics the movement of natural breasts for beautiful volume, and the sloped shape fills the lower breast pole for a softer look and more definition along the inframammary crease.

TrueMonobloc® technology helps the implants last longer while reducing the risk of complications with a cohesive silicone gel. This FDA-approved design has a capsular contracture risk of less than 1%, making this a better option for patients who have experienced complications with their implants in the past. If you have a history of capsular contracture, Motiva is the most effective option. These implants can maintain their shape while providing a natural look with a lower risk of rippling and deflation.

Advanced SuperSilicone® Gel

Advanced SuperSilicone® Gel is highly cohesive and mimics the movement and feel of breast tissue. It moves fluidly and naturally with your body movements, and it can provide a large cup size increase for patients with thin skin since the innovative technology decreases the risk of rippling.

Motiva Silk Smooth Implants

Motiva implants’ surface is manufactured with Microthane® nanotexturing that lowers the risk of capsular contracture. This nano-textured surface helps to stabilize the implant’s position in the breast, reducing the risk of implant shifting and capsular contracture.

Candidates

Ideal candidates for round implants may not be ideal candidates for ergonomix implants; for example, ergonomix implants are more suitable for patients with thin skin or less breast tissue, as this type may result in more subtle, natural-looking enhancements compared to round implants. In general, candidates for Motiva implants should be nonsmokers in good overall health with realistic expectations about what they can achieve with this treatment. Consultation

During your consultation, Dr. Azad will perform a physical examination and ask about your aesthetic goals to determine the most effective treatment plan. He will also discuss implant placement with you to help you achieve your desired look and select the right Motiva implants for your goals. Please come prepared to discuss your medications, lifestyle, aesthetic goals, and medical history. Dr. Azad can also provide an implant comparison during your appointment to help you understand both round and ergonomix implants and how they will affect your appearance. We can also discuss alternative or additional procedures, such as a breast lift, to reposition the breasts and remove excess skin.

Preparation

To prepare for breast implants, you should stop taking medications and supplements that thin the blood. Those who smoke will also need to quit temporarily. You should arrange for someone you trust to take care of you for approximately 24-48 hours afterward. You should also take 2-4 days off from work. We recommend that you pick up any prescriptions you need ahead of time so you can focus on your recovery without any physical or mental stress.

Breast Augmentation Procedure

The procedure for both round and ergonomix implants is quite similar. During your procedure, we will cleanse your skin and place you under anesthesia. We will make a small incision along the natural creases of your skin to place the Motiva implants inside the breast pocket. We can place the implant above or below the chest muscle, depending on your underlying anatomy and aesthetic goals.

Dr. Azad creates an internal bra using deep sutures inside the breast pocket to hold the implants in place or make a close-fitting pocket to prevent the implant from shifting or expanding. ⁽⁴⁾ This can help prevent the implant from shifting or “bottoming out,” which can affect the appearance of the breasts.

Breast Lift

A breast lift is a treatment that raises the position of the breasts. A breast lift reshapes the breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the nipple for a more proportional appearance.
