About Hydrafacial

Hydrafacial is a cosmetic skincare procedure that uses a handheld device to cleanse and exfoliate the skin before a series of moisturizers and serums are applied to nourish and hydrate the skin. The Hydrafacial device uses patented Vortex-Fusion technology to help gently rejuvenate each patient’s skin, combining the use of vacuum suction with spiral-designed tips. Candidates

Preparation

The specialist will provide preparation instructions for each patient during their consultation to help them properly prepare their skin for their Hydrafacial. While the instructions are straightforward, each one should be followed to ensure the best possible results. Patients will need to modify their skincare routine to avoid using harsh skincare products, such as retinoids or chemical exfoliants, before their treatment. Additionally, tanning beds should be avoided for at least 72 hours, and patients should be proactive when using sun protection, as sunburns or sun damage may cause us to reschedule the appointment until any damage has cleared. It is also strongly recommended to stay hydrated in preparation for treatment. On the day of the appointment itself, each patient should arrive with a clean face, free from any makeup or skincare products.

Procedure

The Hydrafacial will begin with a cleansing of the patient’s face to help remove any oils, dirt, or residual product. The specialist will use a handheld device to exfoliate the face. This helps remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, allowing for healthy skin cell turnover and improved texture. ⁽¹⁾ Following exfoliation, the specialist will apply a chemical peel to the face. The peel helps unclog debris from the pores before extractions with a gentle suctioning device. Once the skin has been cleansed and cleared, the specialist will apply deeply hydrating serums and moisturizers to help nourish the skin, leaving it glowing and radiant. The duration of each Hydrafacial can vary depending on the condition of the individual’s skin, but patients can expect their treatment to last approximately 30-60 minutes.

Recovery

Following their appointment, each patient will be immediately able to return to their daily routines as normal, as there is no downtime associated with our Hydrafacial. It is common to experience redness or mild swelling, but these effects often dissipate on their own within several hours. ⁽²⁾ Patients should continue avoiding harsher or heavier skincare products for several days after their treatment, opting for a gentler cleanser instead. Patients are also encouraged to stay hydrated, and when going outside, sun protection should be applied liberally. Any further recovery instructions will be provided by our specialist during each patient’s consultation.

Results

Many patients will be able to see an improvement in the overall texture and appearance of their skin immediately after their treatment, and the full results of the Hydrafacial can be seen as the skin starts to renew itself. Azad Plastic Surgery offers Botox to help patients address and prevent signs of facial aging.
