After Weight Loss Breast Lift
An after weight loss breast lift is a procedure that can improve the shape and position of the breasts after you have lost a significant amount of weight. Dr. Azad performs this procedure by repositioning the breasts on the chest wall and removing excess or redundant skin, allowing you to address the appearance of sagging, deflated, or flattened breasts.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation uses either breast implants or your body’s own fat to enhance the size, symmetry, fullness, and shape of your breasts. Breast Lift

Candidates
You may be a candidate for a breast procedure if you are interested in altering your breasts to improve aesthetic appearance or personal comfort. You should be in good general health and maintain realistic expectations regarding your results. You should no longer be breastfeeding and ideally have completed having children, as these events can alter your results. It is also important that you are nonsmoking or willing to quit using nicotine.
Your candidacy for each breast procedure is at the discretion of Dr. Azad and his team. Please understand that you may be eligible for certain procedures but not for others.
Personal Consultation
Your personal consultation is a fundamental step to creating your personalized treatment plan. Dr. Azad will meet with you individually to discuss each aspect of your procedure. He will review your medical history, including any previous procedures you underwent or sensitivities you possess. He will ask about your personal concerns and desired results. He will also perform a thorough physical assessment, which will include taking careful measurements of your breasts.

Preparation
Once Dr. Azad has finalized your breast procedure, he and his team will provide you with a set of personalized preparation instructions. Your exact instructions will vary, but you can expect them to include:
- Arranging transportation home after your procedure
- Discontinuing the use of blood-thinning medications and supplements at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance
- Preparing time away from your career, responsibilities, and commitments
- Filling any prescriptions and rearranging your home to create a comfortable recovery environment
- Ceasing any nicotine or alcohol usage at least 8 weeks before your procedure
We ask that you follow these directions closely, as they are meant to ensure your safety and optimize your procedure, recovery, and results.
Procedure
Dr. Azad performs each breast procedure on an outpatient basis at his Quad A accredited surgical center. When you arrive, a member of the Azad Plastic Surgery Team will lead you to a private treatment room. At the start of your procedure, you will receive either local anesthesia, general anesthesia, or sedation.
Once you are comfortable, Dr. Azad will begin to make the initial incisions. Through these incisions, he will proceed to perform each of your corrections, which may consist of removing tissue, placing implants, transferring fat, elevating or repositioning your breasts, or repositioning or reshaping your nipples. He will then close each incision, and you will rest until you are ready to return home.
Recovery
After your breast procedure, you will need to take some time for yourself so you can focus on healing. Dr. Azad will provide you with detailed post-operative instructions ahead of time so you understand how to care for yourself during this time.
The details of your recovery will vary depending on the extent of your procedure and how quickly your body heals itself.
You can expect initial swelling, bruising, or general discomfort around your chest. These effects are transient and will dissipate on their own with time, but you may also manage them with prescribed medications and plenty of rest. You will also be asked to wear a supportive bra, which will prevent additional swelling and help maintain your new breast shape.
Results
Your exact results will vary depending on the procedure you underwent, but your breasts will appear more even, proportionate, and shapely. These effects can contribute to a greater sense of self-confidence and a more sculpted and contoured silhouette overall.
